    How are you creative?

Creativity requires clear thinking, and the ability to set goals and aim for better alternatives. A habit of turning misfortunes into opportunities, it doesn’t have to be perfect but rather optimistic and achievable.

    Transformation…

Only a few can turn unpleasant things into beautiful ones, like how a lot of people hate a rainy day and feel sad u der a gloomy sky just because everything around them is black and grey. While rain is a necessity, it doesn’t have to represent your sorrow. There’s no reason to be sad over a dark gloomy sky if you aren’t really sad, it doesn’t have to be heavy even if the rain pours it’s everything in a loud manner.

    Mind conditioning…

A good creative mind knows how to condition itself and adjust the setting instead of being carried away by the current of unpleasantness and ugly events of life. A strong mind is capable of becoming a creative one, it takes just one skill. Master or practice the art of thinking clearly.

    Rewrite…

Our lives are said to be pre-determined by fate itself, but that doesn’t mean we cannot change the direction in whichever fate leads us. Not unless you just let it carry you and you are more than willing to submit your life to wherever it may lead you. In my end, I chose to become the author of my boring and not-so-well-pre-determined fate. While I’m at it, I plan to rewrite my life in a more creative and fulfilling manner!

  • Weak…

Can I be sad for a moment? Cry and bawl my eyes out? Can I swear at the heavens? Ask a question of why it has to be this hard. Can I stare at the world blankly, like I could just become invisible and discreet? So I can hide the pain.

Can I start pondering aimlessly? Run farther, scream my lungs out? Can I just fall on my knees? For once, can I be weak? Can I show just how sad I am becoming? Can I at least be someone who weeps with all her heart out into the open?

Can I show what it is like inside me? The chaos, the sorrow and the uncertain emotions I am now feeling? Can I scream? Tell them just how much I needed to pour myself out. Can I? Can I lay down, rest and just forget the world?

Can I? For one second….be the person that I am usually not. Weak.

  • #3: Happiness

    Is a choice….

The worst feeling of being alive is feeling dead despite hearing your heartbeats and knowing that you exist but you aren’t exactly, at least to live your own life. For others, being happy takes a lot. Courage, will, faith and putting them all together takes a lot of work too. Above all, it doesn’t work overnight. Years for others and a lifetime for some!

    Attributed happiness…

Making other people happy is already a part of us as we are born and as we grow up, from our first spoken word to our first steps. Nobody tells who to just mess with life and learn from it, no? Everything we do from day one until we grow tired of it, it’s to make the people around us happier than ourselves. Character and role-playing, in a worst-case scenario, it’s even harder if you were born as a token to your parents. Everything drains down as we grow old and one day realize that most things we do that make others happy aren’t exactly the things that we dream of doing. In an instant, we feel as if we’ve been exhausted for a lifetime.

    Moment of truth…

The more we get used to the cycle, the harder it is for us to realize things. Only that, eventually, it may take longer than the others. It comes, the moment of truth comes. Like a spark, it ignites once triggered and later on, could turn into a flare to a burning desire. Realizing that what we usually do becomes something that tires us out, sucks our energy and drains everything inside us is a very difficult truth. Questions surfaces like empty bottles, it floats and we are aware of it but it’s empty that we couldn’t find the answer. What is what, which is which?

    Scarred…

Have you ever realised how scarred you are without noticing or knowing when have you ever been wounded? Most of us ignore pain by making ourselves believe that it is the right thing to do, surprisingly, those ignored feelings, emotions and thirst become scars carved and engraved inside us. Only then we are reminded of the pain we unconsciously endured through the years, the tears we tried to conceal and the vain we dared to defy. As gruesome as it sounds, I know there are a lot of us out there who are scarred unknowingly.

    The fear…

As we begin to question and doubt our happiness, fear grows. What if this isn’t what I want? It grows, it shakes us, and we are so used to the cycle that it has become our comfort zone. What will happen to me if I choose to leave my comfort zone? Scary, then without knowing, there’s a war going on inside you. A war in between you and your self. The one who’s willing to just put up to it and keep on pretending and the other one who acts like a warrior ready for a battle and yet can’t figure out how to defeat the enemies in front of him.

    Hard one..

Both happiness and unhappiness are choices, however, they cannot be taken easily. It takes the entire you, unshaken, unwavering and unfaltering. It requires not the wiser you, but a braver and a risk taker. Agree or not, we also get genuine happiness by messing our lives a little. By doing foolish things, breaking rules for the first time and stepping into a world different from the world the society and the people around you have built for you. Yet, it’s harder than it may sound.

If I am to go back…

I do not believe in what-ifs, let’s just say I am being theoretical. What if I can go back to the younger me? I would love to live a messier life, I’d love to take the chance of telling the person that I like that I like her. I will defy my parents several times, I will run freely and laugh out loud. I am going to live the life of a child that I deserve to be, even if it would make my parents mad at me. Do you know why? I have been doing everything I can to make them happy, never broken a rule yet I have never loved the way every child should be.

If there is one thing I am sure about, it’s that I do not regret anything. Even if I have to sacrifice my happiness, ’cause I know the moment I thirst…craved and fought for it. I have caused my comfort zone the same pain I suffered from.

I have chosen to live a life without regret….I have chosen to be happy. The hardest yet the choice I am willing to give my everything.

  • POV..

Who are the biggest influences in your life?

I hope this response is not offensive…I noticed that the questions were almost similar to previous ones. I wish to develop my creative thinking and enhance my writing, I wish to find more unique daily prompts. Thanks

  • #2: Me & The Dream-World

    Being subconsciously conscious…

I rarely dream, and when I do it’s all in the same place. In our old house and my High School, I was stuck there. I always go back there no matter how long I have walked and run, I always go back to the same places, and when I dream of people it’s always those who’re all in my High School or just faceless random people.

    Weird & Rare…

Last night was different, the people in my dream had faces. They all have faces. Though I couldn’t remember everyone’s, they’re all of the people I know. There were a lot of people, faces I both had not known and known for a while….and I realized one thing.

Perhaps, the reason why amn’t a dreamer(in my sleep) is that I do not have that much connection with people. Connection to the world? Just this whole 2023, I started building a connection back to the world. But, just like everything that we do. Connections cannot be built overnight, or takes time and it will take a lot of it.

    Fascinating…

Whenever I dream, believe me, I am the happiest. I feel so normal and so human, it’s just kind of frustrating when I get to dream of the same things, scenes, faceless people and the same place all the time. I’d caught myself pounding on what I missed during those times, or maybe those were just the most memorable places and faceless faces that had been registered in my subconscious.

    Laughable…

Has it ever happened to you, that when you dream of something great and suddenly your bladder just interrupted you and you gotta go back to sleep and frustratingly want to bring that dream back and see how it ends? I have gone through a lot of that, which is more frustrating since it’s the same dream as always and it doesn’t have an ending no matter how many times it already has appeared.

    Amusing…..

I have other thought in mind, reason or at least an explanation of why I rarely dream. Most probably, I know how to pacify my head. I don’t have sleepless nights due to bad thoughts or those overthinking kind of thing. I don’t have that, my subconscious must be at peace and contented rather than just empty. It an advantage, for there are others who got nightmares due to overthnking or unsettled thoughts. While I only wish to draw faces on those faceless people, there were others out there who wishes not to dream of the other people’s faces.

  • Tiger born…

Share what you know about the year you were born.

It was a chaotic 9 months for my mother, it was at that moment when Martial Law in the Philippines was at its most chaotic moment. Political war and people are torn between saving themselves and or adding fuel to a burning flame.

My parents have decided to give birth to me far from the city, as they said armies, political supporters, and civilians are in a total mess in the city. Forcing civilians to rally and protest, rebels killing innocent people, armies that could no longer determine peace and order in chaos and war.

I was born 4 months after the Martial Law ended, but we spent just another year living in the mountains to make sure that when my parents go back to the city. Their five kids can at least live in peace and harmony and no more war.

I was born in the year of the tiger, a tiger-born kid according to my parents has this aura of someone fearless and risk-taking kind of person. They were right, I have done things a lot of it that proves they were right. I feared not being alone nor being away from my family, as soon as I took off and decided to be free. I did things on my own, and started a life on my own. I gambled and had taken risks on my own…and I loved how I did all those crazy things.

  • A skilled one…

Are you a good judge of character?

It takes two to three hangouts with a new person, and I can tell what type of person he or she is. Most of the time, what I say comes true. For example how my little doubt and silent assumptions turn into truth and reality. Sometimes, I am surprised too, when a friend tells me about things or people which I have given my opinion based on my observations.

Details are important to me, behaviour patterns and how a person tells a story. That made me someone who can judge someone in a more accurate manner.

  • That time….

    When are you most happy?

Whenever it rains, that time when the world is just as peaceful as it never has been. Everything seems to be in slow motion, and the only noise I get to hear is from the raindrops, lightning, thunders and the sound of my heart. For others, the rainy season makes them feel gloomy. But for me, it’s my happiest downtime, happiest moment, happiest time where I could just stare at the world without thinking of much other than appreciate it.🖤

  • Silenced

#1: Broken (a piece of something)

I see the world…stories untold. Unspoken love faked smiles. Shallow laughter, a grimace in dismay. It was all the words kept, hidden that you never heard. A taste of madness, the reality of being alone with tons of thoughts. It was all that….the silence..that later on turned into a river of tears.
  • Being random…

What was the last thing you did for play or fun?

Ever since I learned to drink (liquor), I never have imagined doing it alone. I tried many times but I couldn’t take it, as if the liquor tasted more bitter than with friends. So I never have learned to do it alone.

    Until…

Just last month, the end of it. I randomly met friends and drank a little, too little that it gave me a headache. I thought it was due to just being too little, then I decided to try taking a bottle on my own. I bought, weekend came and I bought a bottle of liquor. Fried some chicken and started drinking on my own, surprisingly. The liquor tasted sweet and light, it was good enough and I felt satisfaction and contentment. My kind of fun, it was the first time drinking on my own, and I was glad I tried it.

Epilogue: as I grabbed a bottle of liquor that day, I thought I grabbed a pack of corn bits or green peas snack in wasabi flavour since it was green and in Japanese packaging, which I thought would be good with liquor. Surprisingly, it was a fruity matcha flavour cereal! Made my me-time, drinking solo even more fun! Yes, of course, I munched it as I drank. Since I love both sweets and salty tastes whenever I have some liquor drinking time.
