If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to?
If I’d say giveaway, it’s like wasting it or giving it to people who are willing to keep it to themselves. I’d rather be spending it on essential needs and help the people who needs it more than I do.
Others might easily say, I’ll give it to war torn nations, help the starved ones all over the world as much as possible. But you see…I am a Filipino and well aware of the needs of my own land. I won’t be sharing it with politicians or organizations who promised to do this and that kind of stuffs..a chance is high that the money won’t be used to help, rather it’ll go straight to their pockets.
I’ll spend it on essentials and try to feed and provide health to assistance many homeless and starving ones as much as possible in my homeland. A million can never make them rich, but I’d love to use that million to show them that there’s still hope. Flickering but still enough to soon turn into a spark.
At the very least…I’d be able to make them smile and make them feel that they’re part of the land where everyone lives and breathes just fine despite all the misfortunes our homeland has faced.
