When was the first time you really felt like a grown up (if ever)?
I was 20 years old when I finished studying at the University, and 21 when I first got a job. The first salary I’ve received, I gave half to my mother and the other half I spent it on a shoe. That was my dream, to be able to buy myself a pair of shoe on my own.
Life was tough when I was growing up, so I had to put up with used shoes all my life. I only got 5 pairs of shoe for 20 years from 6th grade until college.
All my life, I was wondering how it felt to have nothing but worn shoes. Then, I made myself a promise that when I get myself a job, a pair of shoes is something that I’d first buy. I did it!
A promise given to my self and I’ve kept it well…so grown up❤️
