There’s love, there’s hate. The world is torn, as hatred is born. Where the future awaits, our children are at stake. The war ends with another war, which spreads like walking scars. Hopes were burnt, and into ashes, they turned. I see the world, it’s growing old. But humans might have thought, they knew better than what’s good. They fought for gold, flipping homes and houses as bombs explode.
Lives are at risk, guns and bullets do not spare the innocents. Can’t hush a kid, who lost their parents. Nor could someone tend, to a mother’s wounded heart. Life can no longer be defined, by nations who treated war in kind. Who’s winning what? What profit could they be at? Our lives aren’t for stash, it ain’t for trade of any price.
When will peace be on top? Or this hatred be replaced with love? Grown-up men shrink, and they talk about war and political shits. Welfare in exchange, the currency is up for storage. No vest can shield our youth from trauma, the world needed some love without this drama. Can we get to the point? Where will all this war lead us?
I live far from the fallen nations, but heard and read of their sufferings and frustrations. Nobody cared about saving, all they tended to aim for was winning. I guess the prize is huge and up for the taking, by war mongrels who do business without even thinking. Hear the kids cry their eyes out, pay silence to weeping mothers who lose a child.
It’s supposed to be love over hatred, peace and order over hate. A liveable world for everyone, not warplanes hovering over someone’s homeland. Homes are built to be warmth, not to be transformed into barricades oh damn! Can’t we change how we treat each other? Can we at least be humans who share peace and are kinder?
(Humanity, love, peace, all lives matter, where is the love? kindness, protect lives)
Note: I couldn’t say that this poem is inspired by the wars going on from across the world, where innocent lives were taken and homes were destroyed leaving every family in displacement. I just want to speak up and share my thoughts on how this world is becoming more and more chaotic and how wars are just endless, it’s frustrating.
