Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.
Even before social experiments become known to the public through influencers and its camera, I have been someone who experienced it way back December of 2009. I was next line with this foreign woman whose cart is filled with christmas decors of all sorts, understandably I’ll have to wait that long before I could finally pay for my Twilight Saga book which I was holding in my chest with my arms on it. First book that I have ever been interested on buying.
I was not in a hurry and I was just feeling great that day, then all of a sudden the foreign woman smiled at me. I smiled back. She went back talking with her companion, and then a few minutes later smiled at me again so I smiled back. Then she went…HMM I’M SORRY MINE IS A LOT. I smiled and responded, IT’S OKAY TAKE YOUR TIME NO WORRIES and smiled back. She turned her back on me and went back to what she and her colleague was doing then she turn to me and said. YOU KNOW WHAT SINCE YOU ARE SO CONSIDERATE AND IS WAITING PATIENTLY PLEASE ALLOW ME TO PAY FOR THAT BOOK YOU ARE HOLDING.
I was in disbelief it was the first time I ever have to experience such kindness from a foreign person, when I was hesitant she smiled. PLEASE ALLOW ME TO PAY FOR THAT BOOK IT’S MY THANK YOU FOR WAITING PATIENTLY. I even refused to let her but she again insisted IT’S CHRISTMAS SEASON AND I FOUND YOU REALLY KIND. I let her pay for my book and wished her a merry christmas as she handed me back the book before I left the bookstore.
That simple first time experience have lingered within me all throughout this year and that’s the reason I get to realize that A SIMPLE SMILE CAN REALLY CHANGE THE WORLD A GESTURE OF KINDESS IS ENOUGH TO ELIMINATE THE DIFFERENCES WE ALL HAVE. It had taught me to be kind and nice to others.
